FAQ
If you used my MiniTool video and method, it is outdated. Please use my new video: https://youtu.be/bHXDWFgDSF0
If you used Disk Genius and migrated from a smaller disk to a larger disk (or if your new larger disk "got smaller" or has unallocated space after the migration), use this video to help allocate the additional space: https://youtu.be/9hYjdGaYor0
If your new drive doesn't appear in the Boot options, try unplugging the original drive and checking again (if the original is a 2.5" SSD or 3.5" HDD, you can just unplug the SATA data cable
Install the program on your current C: drive.
If you want to migrate to a drive that already has data on it: the only way to migrate it over to a disk with data on it is to have enough unallocated space for the ENTIRE C: size and the additional partitions. It is not a recommended process and I won't guide you through it as it has a higher chance of failure or data loss.
If the WinPE method experiences some kind of error (black screen, not launching properly, etc) with no change after 10 or so minutes, reboot into your original drive (by shutting down and restarting) and try using the Hot Migration method.
If you want to wipe your old drive I suggest you unplug your original first and make sure you can still boot before you do. Once you're ready to wipe it, you can either use DiskGenius to wipe the partitions (right click the drive and Delete all Partitions) or follow this video: https://youtu.be/EZYjB67ZS8w
If when trying to migrate the OS your drive gets unallocated and DiskGenius simply closes without any prompts, it's an issue with their most recent update (6.0.0.1631). I have a link to a previous version on my website here: https://www.caddac.net/downloads
Check the DiskGenius manuals here: https://www.diskgenius.com/manual/
